Q: Just How
Safe Is Women's Lacrosse Compared With Other Sports?
A: The
NCAA Injury Surveillance Analysis (2004) graphs show that the overall
injury rate for Women's Lacrosse is much lower than Women's Soccer; and
nearly equivalent to Women's Basketball rates.

The injury rates are expressed as injuries
per 1,000 athlete-exposures.
When factoring in the severity of the
injury, the following graph shows the injury rate for the various sports
that resulted in the loss of 7 or more days of participation in the
sport.
